Our skin is composed of two layers:
1. The Outer Epidermal Layer which protects organs from the outside environment
2. The Inner Dermal Layer which ensures strength and elasticity and gives nutritional support to the epidermis.

Normal skin contains high concentrations of Vitamin C, which supports important and well-known functions, stimulating collagen synthesis and assisting in antioxidant protection against UV-induced photo-damage.

We all know Vitamin C is important in our diet and skin health but what many don't know is that is can also be applied topically!

When I was first approached by Keihls to help promote their new Vitamin C serum I was super excited! One of my favourite products I have used in the past was their 'Creme De Corp Body Moisturiser' - If you have not tried it, head into your nearest store and grab a sample.

Two ingredients in the Kiehls 'Line Reducing Formula' is Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid.

What is Hyaluronic Acid

In the human body, Hyaluronic Acid is said to be an ultimate solution for moisture retention of the skin. Youthful skin is hydrated because it contains large amounts of Hyaluronic Acid in the dermis. However, as we age, the amount of Hyaluronic Acid in the skin decreases, and by the time we become adults, the amount is very minimal.

Fragmented Hyaluronic Acid is famous for its ability to hold up to 1000 times its weight in water. Hyaluronic Acid acts like a sponge by drawing moisture into the skin's surface layers and expanding it as it absorbs. It's for this reason that it's commonly used in skincare products that are targeted to visibly reduce lines and refine skin texture.

On the first application you will feel a warming sensation as the product begins to activate. After one use my skin was already brighter in appearance.

After one week my skin's texture had improved and felt plumped and hydrated and after two weeks the fine lines under my eyes had visibly reduced.

I have had so many comments on my skin since using this product and I am now hooked.
